In a new interview with the Statesman (via JamBase), Promise of the Real frontman Lukas Nelson spoke about both his band’s new album and the upcoming record he made with his father Willie and brother Micah – which drops tomorrow – along with POTR’s plans for 2018, which will include a new album collaboration with Neil Young along with another tour behind the legendary singer-songwriter.

“We also did a record with Neil Young, a new one that we just finished, and that’s coming out sometime soon, too,” Nelson tells the Statesman. “And we’re going to go on tour with Neil. So next year is going to be crazy. Neil’s our priority; we’ll wipe out the whole summer for him.”

Nelson and company toured behind Young in 2015–2016, and while Young has been quiet this year, he and the band also collaborated for a fiery performance at Farm Aid earlier this year. Young and POTR released one studio album, The Monsanto Years, together in 2015 and a live album, Earth, last year.
