As previously reported, Lettuce will headline New York’s Brooklyn Bowl for three night as part of their East Coast New Year’s Eve celebration, and the band has just announced a lineup change for the performances, as iconic jazz guitarist John Scofield will sit in for regular guitarist Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff as the latter musician welcomes a new member of his family.

Lettuce have collaborated with Scofield numerous times in the past, including at their “spring Rage Rocks” celebration”:http://www.jambands.com/news/2017/05/15/lettuce-welcome-george-porter-jr-cyril-neville-ghostface-killah-and-more-at-red-rocks at Colorado’s Red Rocks earlier this year, where they played two tunes from Lettuce’s 2002 album Outta Here on which Scofield was featured. The guitarist has also been a regular guest with members of Lettuce at Soulive performances.

Jeffrey Lockhart, another one of Smirnoff’s influences will also fill in during the run. Tickets to Lettuce’s NYE run at Brooklyn Bowl are available here.
