Dead & Company’s tour rolled on last night with a stop at the newly rebranded Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC where they debuted a cover of The Band’s anthem “The Weight” to kick off their second set.

The cover marked the first time Dead & Co have tackled the classic American rock group as they’ve mostly stuck to Bob Dylan covers as well as Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode,” along with various other popular covers in the Dead canon.

Dead & Company’s tour continues tonight at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA.
