Following his New Years Eve performance at New York’s Terminal 5, Gramatik has announced he will be unable to perform on Jam Cruise next week. Taking the producer/DJ’s place will be jamtronica quartet Electron.

“I’m so sorry I won’t be able to attend Jam Cruise this year guys,” Gramatik wrote in a statement. “Looks like I overdid it for NYE and the 11 screws and 1 plate I have in my ankle are a little ‘loose’ right now so doc says I need to rest and tighten them up before tour starts in Feb. Cyborg life ain’t easy. I hope I get to make it up to you another time! Have fun!!”

Electron will take over Gramatik’s Thursday late-night set at the Stardust Theater, as well as his Sunday evening slot on the Pool Deck.

Additional performers on this year’s Jam Cruise include Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Maceo Parker, Lotus, Keller Williams and Voodoo Dead featuring Steve Kimock, George Porter Jr., Jackie Greene, Jeff Chimenti and John Kimock. For a full lineup and more details on the roving festival click here.
