Longtime collaborators and Dave Matthews Band members Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds returned to Riviera Maya, Mexico, last night to kick off their annual destination event, and the duo offered a set of DMB favorites that saw a number of guests join them on stage, including banjo master Béla Fleck.

Matthews opened the show with a solo performance of “Do You Remember,” marking the first time he’s played the tune solo and the first time it’s opened a show. The first half of the set also featured DMB cuts like “Don’t Drink the Water,” “Tripping Billies,” “Satellite,” “Warehouse,” “Grey Street” and “Samurai Cop,” plus a solo Reynolds performance of his “A Tangled We We Weave.”

Flute and saxophone player Carlos Malta, who has joined forces with Matthews several times in the past few years, got the sit ins started by helping out on a few songs like “What Would You Say” and “Lying in the Hands of God” and “Jimi Thing,” then Fleck added to the collaboration on “Typical Situation” and “Lie in Our Graves.”

Drummer Antonio Sánchez and bassist Matt Brewer rounded out the full band as the set ended with “#41” and “All Along the Watchtower,” and Matthews and Reynolds returned for a two-song encore starting with a solo Matthews “Some Devil” and closing out with “Corn Bread.”
