As Sunshine Music Festival fought off unseasonably chilly weather, Hot Tuna joined headliners Tedeschi Trucks Band onstage for a cover of Elmore James’ “The Sky is Crying” near the end of the bands single set.

The festival, taking place this weekend in both St. Pete and Boca Raton, Fla. features Tedeschi Trucks Band and Hot Tuna, as well as Mike Gordon’s solo project, Medeski Martin & Wood, Galactic and Foundation of Funk, featuring Zigaboo Modeliste, George Porter Jr., Eric Krasno and John Medeski.

TTB played a number of covers on Saturday, including “Anyday” by Derek and the Dominos and “Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright” by Bob Dylan. They closed out their Saturday night set with their new Tom Petty favorite “You Don’t Know How It Feels,” and two originals, “Bound For Glory” and “Made Up Mind.”
