Umphrey’s McGee opened up their three-night run at New York’s Beacon Theatre last night, continuing their support of new album it’s not us with a two-set affair that featured a few cuts from the record along with several of the band’s live staples and a guest spot during a Talking Heads cover.

Set one opened with “There’s No Crying in Mexico” then immediately gave the crowd a taste of the new album with it’s not us track “Remind Me” before the Umphrey’s classic “Anchor Drops.” The first set also featured album track “Speak Up” and closed out with Talking Heads “Making Flippy Floppy” with a guest spot from Israeli guitarist Oz Noy and UM guitarist Brendan Bayliss moving over to percussion and keys.

The second frame kicked off with live favorite “JaJunk” and moved into “Push the Pig,” which featured other UM guitarist Jake Cinninger trying his hand at keys. Later in the set, the group offered a third it’s not us track, single “The Silent Type,” before returning to “JaJunk” and then closing out the night with the appropriately chosen “Bad Friday” encore.

See the full setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section. Umphrey’s McGee return to the Beacon stage tonight for round two.
