After having their first night cut short due to inclement weather, Widespread Panic continued with two more offerings as part of their Panic En La Playa Siete destination event in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and the host band welcomed a few special guests over the weekend.
Starting Saturday night, Panic were joined by guitarist Eric Krasno and keyboardist Ivan Neville, who both joined in during the final run of the second set, which featured a cover of Funkadelic’s “Maggot Brain” and Panic’s own “Ride Me High” and “Bust It Big.”
Last night, Panic returned to the Hard Rock Hotel outdoor stage for the third of four performances at the venue, and the band kept the guests coming with a special sit in from George Porter Jr., who doubled up the bass with Panic’s Dave Schools for The Meters classic “Ain’t No Use” and Panic’s “Arleen.”
See the full setlists below as they appear in our Box Scores section, along with a few fan-shot videos of the collaborations. Panic En La Playa wraps up tonight with another round of Widespread Panic and more.
