The inaugural Krewe du Kanaval, a new mobile music event and Haitian diaspora celebration in New Orleans, will take place tomorrow, February 6, and a number of the Krewe’s participants and organizers have collaborated on a new theme for the event, including members of Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Arcade Fire.

The PHJB horn section, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Regine Chassagne and Haitian-American musician Richard A. Morse came together last week to record “Ann Ale! (Let’s Go!)” in New Orleans. Listen to the tune below.

Tomorrow’s Krewe du Kanaval will feature a parade through NOLA’s French Quarter and Treme districts, a free festival in Armstrong Park and the Kanaval Ball at One Eyed Jacks. Set to appear at the event are PHJB, Butler, Chassagne, DJ Nickodemus, DJ Cosmo Gonik, Paul Beaubrun and special guests from Haiti including Morse’s RAM. Proceeds from the event will go to the Preservation Hall Foundation and KANPE.
