The Aiken Bluegrass Festival has scheduled its two-day celebration of everything bluegrass for May 11 and 12, at the Western Carolina State Fairgrounds in Aiken, S.C.

Featured headliners include some of the genre’s biggest names, including Greensky Bluegrass and Leftover Salmon, as well as two sets of rising stars like Billy Strings and The Lil’ Smokies. There will also be a special performance by Grass is Dead, who take the Grateful Dead songbook to its twangiest iteration.

The festival also acts as a fundraiser for the Great Oak Aiken Therapeutic Riding Center, which provides hands-on therapeutic experiences with horses to people with disabilities.

Tickets for the Aiken Bluegrass Festival are available now, and there is both camping and RV spaces available on site.
