Last night, New York’s Beacon Theatre hosted the second annual Love Rocks NYC, an all-star benefit in support of God’s Love We Deliver, a local organization that provides food for those with illnesses. The evening featured an array of big-name collaborations, with a parade of musicians that included The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards, Warren Haynes, Norah Jones, Gary Clark Jr., Emmylou Harris, Mavis Staples, Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Ziggy Marley, Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo, Cheap Trick and many more.

The night also featured a house band comprised of musical director Will Lee, Paul Shaffer, Eric Krasno, Larry Campbell, Steve Gadd, Shawn Pelton and Jeff Young.

Some of the evening’s musical offerings included Richards teaming up with Clark Jr. on the Rolling Stones classic “Happy;” Richards and Jones playing Richards’ solo cut “Make No Mistake;” Gibbons and tennis legend John McEnroe taking on ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man;” Fagen playing Steely Dan’s “Aja” and “Reeling in the Years;” Hart’s Ann Wilson leading a rendition of “Barracuda” and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song;” Gibbons, Clark and more coming together for “Pride and Joy;” Jones, Harris, Lucinda Williams combining for the Everly Brothers’ “When Will I Be Loved;” a collaborative take The Band’s “The Weight;” Warren Haynes on The Beatles “She Came In Through the Bathroom Window” and the Allman Brothers Band’s “Melissa;” and a finale of Bob Marley’s “One Love” led by Ziggy and featuring all the night’s performers.
