With tickets already on-sale, three of the Marley brothers scheduled to appear at Kaya Fest April 28-29 in San Bernardino, California held a press conference in Los Angeles during a formal meet-and-greet session with the media. Festival founder and musician Stephen Marley, joined by siblings Damian Marley and Julian Marley, sat with reporters and photographers at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood, answering questions about the festival’s move this year from Florida to Southern California, the educational intentions of the event, and the possibility of more special guests to be announced.

“There is a certain vibe about it,” Stephen said. “Music will bring people together, but we still have a greater cause.”

The highlight of the two-day gathering at the NOS Events Center will be a reunion of five of the Marley brothers- the aforementioned three, plus Ziggy and Ky-Mani Marley- for a tribute to their late father, Bob, on the 40th anniversary of his Kaya album. The brothers Marley concluded the conference with an acoustic performance of “Could You Be Loved,” as, unexpectedly, hotel guest Steven Van Zandt, guitarist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, watched from the doorway, then met with the three outside for a few minutes of handshakes and well-wishes.
