Dickey Betts has added a few Northeast dates to his highly anticipated comeback tour. The former Allman Brothers Band guitarist has officially confirmed his stops at Ridgefield, CT’s Ridgefield Playhouse on July 20 and Staten Island, NY’s St. George Theatre on July 21 as well as his return to New York’s Beacon Theatre on July 18. The Devon Allman Project and fellow Southern rock icons Marshall Tucker Band will also appear on the Beacon Theatre bill. Betts’ son Duane will perform as part of his father’s band as well as with The Devon Allman Project.

Betts regularly played the Beacon from 1989 through 2000 when he parted ways with the Allman Brothers. He returned for the first time in 2006 on a bill with Kenny Wayne Sheppard and, most recently, in 2013 when he sat in with Tedeschi Trucks Band at the historic venue.

For his upcoming tour, Betts’ band will feature Duane on guitar, Freight Train Band guitarist Damon Fowler, keyboardist Mike Kach, bassist Pedro Arevalo and dual drummers Frankie Lombardi and Steve Camilleri. Duane, Lombardi, Kach and Arevalo were all members of Dickey’s Great Southern band before his 2014 retirement. Betts’ team has also confirmed that “there most likely won’t be any dates west of the Mississippi River, so West Coast fans will want to plan accordingly.”
