On Friday April 6, The National will play an intimate acoustic set at Brooklyn’s Kings County Distillery, raising funds for Kyle Frenette’s congressional campaign.

Frenette is running for a seat in Wisconsin’s 7th District, and he has a deep connection to indie music scene, at one time managing Justin Vernon’s Bon Iver project.

The National’s Aaron Dessner is billed as one of the event’s hosts, and he has also collaborated with Vernon and Frenette in the past, co-creating the Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival with the Bon Iver founder.
