Bonnaroo’s Superjams are always star-studded dance parties, but this year’s rendition, entitled Into The Great Wide Open, will act as both a celebration and a tribute to rock icon Tom Petty.

The Superjam house band will be led by My Morning Jacket’s Patrick Hallahan and Tom Blankenship as well as Pat Sansone (Wilco), Craig Pfunder (VHS or Beta), Mark Heideger (Vandaveer), Daniel Creamer (The Texas Gentlemen) and The Watson Twins.

A laundry list of special guests includes country singer extraordinaire Sheryl Crow, Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant, Amelia Meath of Sylvan Esso, David Shaw of The Revivalists, Moon Taxi, Vanessa Carlton, Langhorne Slim and many more.

Petty headlined Bonnaroo in 2006 and 2013, and since his Oct. 2, 2017 passing there have been countless tributes to his genius. Surely the Bonnaroo Superjam will give musicians and music fans alike the chance to celebrate his legacy en masse.
