On May 8, Brooklyn Bowl will host a special event dubbed We B-E-E Spelling, a benefit for HeadCount that will feature a number of spelling bee contestants from around the music world, along with performances from Leftover Salmon and Andy Frasco and The U.N.

Leftover Salmon will play an opening set before the spelling bee, where they will perform tunes from their upcoming album Something Higher (out May 4), while Frasco and company will serve as the house band for the evening, which falls after the first day of this year’s Relix Live Music Conference.

The spelling contest itself, which is billed as “late-night comedy meets a spelling bee,” will feature host Alex Greer and comedians Kyle Ayers and Ahri Findling, plus special guests. The list of spellers will include Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman, comedian Emily Panic and members of the teams behind Ben & Jerry’s, YouTube, Cloud 9 Adventures, CID Entertainment, Live For Live Music, CAA, City Winery and more. See the full list of participants below.

Donations from the night will go to support HeadCount. Learn more about donations and how to support specific spellers here.
