Grateful Dead-themed games have become somewhat of a mainstay in professional sports for teams large and small – from the San Francisco Giants to the Kalamazoo Wings.

This summer, The Cyclones – Brooklyn’s resident minor league baseball team – will join in on the fun, with a special Grateful Dead night on July 14. The Saturday evening game will include a tye-dye baseball giveaway, pre-game yoga, vegan food options, giveaways, and fireworks as well as a special on-field jersey worn by the players.

The Cyclones will face off against the Williamsport Cutters at MCU Park, adjacent to the historic Coney Island beach and boardwalk.

In an interesting bit of Dead history: Phil Lesh and Bob Weir performed with Furthur for two nights at MCU Park in the summer of 2010, as well as in 2012.
