Dead & Company Offer Paul Simon and Beatles Covers in Raleigh

Dead & Company brought their summer tour to the Coastal Federal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, NC, Saturday night, wrapping up a short Southeast stint before heading up to the Northeast this week.

The band kicked off the show with a first set that stuck to Grateful Dead repertoire classics like “Peggy-O,” “Tennessee Jed” and “Bertha,” which was fit into a “Bird Song” that closed out the frame.

Set two saw the band offer their takes on Paul Simon’s “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes” within “The Wheel” and The Beatles’ “Dear Prudence,” along with more staples like “Deal,” “Estimated Prophet,” “Playing in the Band” and the appropriate set closer “One More Saturday Night.”

See the full setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section, along with pro-shot video of the set openers. Dead & Company continue their tour tomorrow night in Saratoga Springs, NY.
