Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds set some time aside during their current tour with Dave Matthews Band for a one-off acoustic duo show Tuesday night at Canandaigua, NY’s Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, where the longtime collaborators delivered a similar set to those being offered by DMB this summer plus a couple of Reynolds’ solo cuts and a sit in from Ben the Sax Guy.

Matthews and Reynolds included some tracks from new DMB album Come Tomorrow like “Do You Remember,” “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin)” and “Here On Out,” plus full-band staples like “Warehouse,” “Crush,” “Grey Street” and “Crash Into Me,” while Reynolds took center stage for two selections from his 2016 solo effort That Way, “A Tangled Web We Weave” and “Manfood.”

Near the end of the set, Matthews and Reynolds welcomed out Ben the Sax Guy (a.k.a. Ben Golder-Novick) for classic DMB tunes “#41” and “Tripping Billies.” The duo later closed out the performance with an extended encore featuring a cover of Procol Harum’s “A Whiter Shade of Pale” plus “Corn Bread,” “Dancing Nancies” and “Ants Marching.”

See the full setlist below. Matthews (whose newly posted performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts can be seen here) and Reynolds get back on the road with Dave Matthews Band tonight with a show in Darien Center, NY.
