Dead & Company brought their summer tour to The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA, on Friday evening after a short break, delivering a two-set offering of Grateful Dead favorites in the outdoor venue and expanding their repertoire a bit with a live debut of early Dead cut “Mr. Charlie.”

The debut came in the first set, which kicked off the night with a “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo” that led into “Bertha” then “Tennessee Jed.” “Mr. Charlie” was up next, marking the first time Dead & Co. have played the tune penned by Ron “Pigpen” McKernan and Robert Hunter.

Set two opened and closed with the lively “Playing in the Band,” as the band fit in classics like “Eyes of the World,” “Terrapin Station” and “New Speedway Boogie,” along with a “Drums” and “Space” segment. The night would later round out with an encore of “U.S. Blues.”

See the setlist below as it appears in out Box Scores section, along with pro-shot videos of each of the set openers. Dead & Company continue their summer tour tonight in Eugene, OR.
