The String Cheese Incident wrapped up a short West Coast run on Sunday night in Eugene, OR, playing the second of two shows at the Cuthbert Amphitheatre and welcoming a couple of special guests, including guitarist John Kadlecik, who came out during the second set for a Tom Petty classic.

After welcoming percussionist Jarrod Kaplan on Saturday night, String Cheese kept the guests coming last night in the first set, with guitarist Jeff Pevar joining the band for “MLT.” Pevar has played with Phil Lesh & Friends and Jazz is Dead.

SCI returned in set two to welcome another guitarist well-versed in the Grateful Dead catalog, former Furthur and Dark Star Orchestra guitarist Kadlecik, who came out for a cover of Tom Petty’s “You Wreck Me.” After the show, Kadlecik tweeted about the sit in, saying, “Wow!…we jammed the hell outta Petty’s ‘You Wreck Me’ deep in the second set! What a fun band, and great team on + off stage! Thank you!”
