Gov’t Mule opened up their run of shows with The Avett Brothers and The Magpie Salute on Thursday night at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, and delivered a headlining Dark Side of the Mule set that featured a number of guests, including members of the two supporting bands and more.

After opening with a couple of their own tracks—“Mule” and “Revolution Come, Revolution Go“—Gov’t Mule launched into their repertoire of Pink Floyd covers with “Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)” while welcoming saxophonist and longtime collaborator Ron Holloway to the stage. Holloway would stick around for “Have a Cigar” and “Speak to Me,” and a couple songs later, Warren Haynes was joined at the front of the stage by Seth and Scott Avett, who helped out on vocals for “Time.”

Two Magpie Salute members, guitarist Marc Ford and vocalist John Hogg, later joined Mule for “Nile Song” before Holloway returned for a run of songs, “Money,” “Us and Them” and “Any Colour You Like.” Magpie Salute leader Rich Robinson then came out for “Fearless.” Mule closed out the set with the Floyd favorite “Comfortably Numb” and returned for an encore of “Wish You Were Here” into a cover of Steve Miller’s “Fly Like an Eagle.”

See the full setlist below, along with a couple fan-shot videos from the night. Mule, the Avetts and Magpie Salute continue their co-tour tonight in Holmdel, NJ.
