Primus have added to their fall touring schedule, turning a previously announced five-show September run into a three-week affair.

After noting that this year’s Primus tour might precede a break from the road for the band, Les Claypool says that the new dates come from fan request and because the band enjoyed their summer tour so much.

“Hey all you Primates out there. So, due to popular demand and the fact that such a spectacular time on this latest summer tour was had, we’ve decided to extend our short fall run into three glorious Goblin filled weeks of Primus,” Claypool writes. “If you haven’t seen it yet or want to catch it one last time, now’s your chance to get your ‘gob on.’ We might even slip a little Nutbutter onto your Glass Sandwich as we all ride the Hamburger Train to Kalamazoo…well maybe. And, don’t forget, dress like your favorite Goblin or Primus character and win a prize. (We are thinking jars of Pickled Ler Underpants but we’ve yet to work that out).”

Tickets for the new dates go on sale this Friday, July 20, with a fan-club VIP pre-sale beginning tomorrow, July 17. A press release also notes that for all GA shows, any fan that arrives in costume will be given “preferred entry.” See Primus’ full tour schedule here.
