Cat Power, a.k.a. singer-songwriter Chan Marshall, has announced she will release her first album in six years, Wanderer, on October 5 via Domino.

The release follows up Marshall’s 2012 effort Sun and features guest vocalist Lana Del Rey on one of its 11 tracks. In a press release, Marshall described the collection as “my journey so far,” adding, “The course my life has taken in this journey – going from town to town, with my guitar, telling my tale; with reverence to the people who did this generations before me. Folk singers, blues singers, and everything in between. They were all wanderers, and I am lucky to be among them.”

Cat Power will tour in support of the new album, kicking off the run September 25 at Berkeley, CA’s Greek Theatre, which opens a short run with The National. Marshall will also have a number of headlining dates throughout the fall. See her full schedule below, along with the Wanderer cover art, tracklist and newly released intro video.
