On Sunday night at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA, legendary bassist George Porter Jr. brought his Runnin’ Pardners through the venue for their second show of the weekend, which featured special guest and venue proprietor Bob Weir.

After an opening set from Santa Cruz funk outfit 7 Come 11, Weir joined the group—which last night feature Porter Jr., drummer Terrence Houston, keyboardist Michael Lemmler and Porter’s Funky Meters collaborator and guitarist Brian Stoltz—for several tunes during their second set.

As JamBase reports, the collaboration included some staples from the Grateful Dead catalog like “Not Fade Away,” “They Love Each Other,” “Turn On Your Lovelight,” “Eyes of the World,” “Black Muddy River” and one of Weir’s favorites, “Loose Lucy,” plus the New Orleans favorite “Iko Iko” and two cuts from Porter’s own iconic group The Meters, “Fire On the Bayou” and “Hey Pocky A-Way.”
