Phil Lesh returned to Levon Helm Studios on Sunday night, playing with The Terrapin Family Band at the famed Barn of the late drummer of The Band. The venue was the inspiration for Lesh’s own Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, CA. The performance was part of a run of “Unbroken Train” shows that the group is playing with Twiddle and Midnight North.

Lesh and company mixed in some cuts from The Band’s catalog throughout their set, including “It Makes No Difference” and Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” and “I Shall Be Released,” along with some Grateful Dead classics like set opener “Jack Straw,” “Cumberland Blues,” “Uncle John’s Band,” “Help On the Way,” “Slipknot!” and an “Eyes of the World” that featured a guest spot from Twiddle frontman and guitarist Mihali Savoulidis.

As Deadheadland reports, Savoulidis also joined the group on Saturday night in Canadaigua, NY, for “Scarlet Begonias.” Also on Sunday, Midnight North bandmates Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck joined Twiddle during their earlier set.

Last night’s show closed out with a two-song encore from Lesh and the Family Band, starting with the harmony-filled “Attics of My Life” and rounding out with The Band classic “The Weight.” See the full setlist below.
