The annual Sound Summit gathering will return to Mill Valley, CA’s Mount Tamalpais this September, offering another “Benefit for the Mountain” that will feature music from Herbie Hancock, Grace Potter, Nikki Lane, Con Brio and special guest and local legend Bob Weir.

The one-day festival, presented by Roots & Branches Conservancy, will take place September 8 at Mount Tamalpais State Park’s Mountain Theater. Tickets will be available starting this Friday, July 27, at 10am. More information can be found at the festival’s website.

Last year’s Sound Summit featured a pairing of Weir and Grateful Dead bandmate Phil Lesh, plus a set from My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James that featured a sit in from Weir. James also returned the favor to sit in with Weir and Lesh later in the day.
