Adding to its previously announced lineup, Levon Helm Studios’ Dirt Farmer Festival has announced that Jackson Browne, William Bell, Jimmy Vivino and Tash Neal will join the the Midnight Ramble Band as special guests.

The legendary lineup will appear at the Aug. 19 festival, as will Amy Helm, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, Hiss Golden Messenger (solo), Terry Reid, The National Reserve, Gail Ann Dorsey, Zach Djanikian, and Brendan McDonough.

This year marks the first-ever Dirt Farmer Festival, and from its earliest inception, organizers have wanted to channel the spirit of the legendary Levon Helm.

“He had always imagined expanding and turning these shows into a true festival,” Amy Helm said of her father in an official statement. “When he passed, I wanted to continue this tradition. He liked that it was local, he liked that it supported local farmers, and local musicians were represented – that it would be another way to create community. The Ramble was such a huge part of the community up here, and still is. It’s in that spirit that I wanted to kick off the festival, and I think we got so lucky being able to feature real musical legends both sung and unsung.”
