For their final night on the West Coast, Phish played around with their typical setlist arrangements on Saturday night, offering up the first “Julius” opener since October 23, 2013 and their first “Sparkle” encore since June 23, 1994.

As the night went on, the crowd at The Forum grooved to the first-ever pairing of “Suzy Greenberg”> “Timber Ho!” and enjoyed other compositions like “Soul Shakedown Party,” “Kill Devil Falls,” Mike Gordon’s “555” and “Your Pet Cat.”

After, the first “Tide Turns” since 12/31/16, set one closed out with a “No Men In No Man’s Land”> “Bathtub Gin” jam.

Phish played almost half the number of songs in the second half, opting to improvise between “Gotta Jibboo,” “Fuego” and “Birds of a Feather.” The fan favorite “Meatstick” followed, as did one of the band’s newest offerings “Soul Planet.” (This marked the third “Soul Planet” ever.)

Phish wound down their second set with a “Wingsuit” jam and a funky “Cavern.”

As previously stated the “Sparkle” encore was a return to the band’s early-‘90s style setlists, and they closed the show out with “Character Zero.”

Phish’s next show will be on July 31 in Austin, Tx.
