Last month, The String Cheese Incident offered up a guest-filled three-night run at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, welcoming several members of their supporting acts JJ Grey & Mofro, The Main Squeeze and Rising Appalachia, but the band themselves also delivered an impressive “Birdland Jam Sandwich” during the first set of night two, and now the 22-minute segue-fest can be relived in this new, pro-shot video shared by SCI today.

The group of cover songs is sandwiched by Weather Report’s classic “Birdland” and also features runs of Pink Floyd’s “Fearless,” featuring SCI drummer Michael Travis on vocals, plus a couple of bluegrass tunes, Delmore Brothers’ “Freight Train Boogie” and Bill Monroe’s “Wheel Hoss,” which allow the group to show off their pickin’-‘n’-grinnin’ chops after displaying some of their more experimental, electronic side earlier in the jam.
