This past Friday night, Widespread Panic guitarist and vocalist John Bell made an appearance at a local talent show in his home base of Highlands, NC, and Bell took the opportunity to debut a new song at the gathering.

As JamBase notes, the new song, a soft tune that Bell performed on his acoustic guitar, with some mandolin and sparse percussion accompaniment, is apparently titled “Sacred Moments.” YouTube user Jeremiah Bullfrog shared some video of the debut performance, which can be viewed below.

In other Panic news, keyboardist JoJo Herman recently announced his new weekly radio show, called Key’d In, which is devoted to shining a light on the “unsung keyboard players of rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, blues, country and funk.” The show’s debut will take place today at 3pm CT and can be heard here or via TuneIn or the Acme Radio Live app.

Next up for Widespread Panic is a slot at Virginia’s LOCKN’ Festival this weekend.
