Waful House

Ah, the infamous top ten list. Gotta love it. You see, I have so many things I could write about this month. Live music is consuming my life these days. I eat sleep and drink music and music news. So much so, that I literally don't have the time to write a column about it. Between managing a band and writing the daily news for Jambands.com, the weeks go by pretty quick. It's a shame too, cause there are so many topics I'd love to write about. However, I'm heading out the door to go see Phil and Friends. So, here is my top ten list, actually make that nine. I'm really late for the show.

Top Nine Topics I Wanted to Write My Column on This Month:

9. Uncle Sammy playing for five hours and five minutes without a break at the Wetlands (that's 305 minutes of music, straight).

8. Chris Ragan's impressive light show at moe.'s Halloween show at Hammerstein Ballroom.

7. String Cheese Incident's crystal clear sound system

6. Being able to play my guitar for the first time in months

5. Remembering how much more magical it was to go to concerts before I worked in the business

4. Learning how to play a song, note for note, in a dream.

3. Getting CSNY tickets for my parents and me. They've been waiting for this tour my whole life. The last time they saw CSNY was on their first date. (I believe the tickets were a little cheaper then).

2. Having a religious moment while doing lights for Uncle Sammy

1. Phil & Friends 11-14-99: St. Stephen->The Eleven. Wow.

Jeff Waful is the Jambands.com Daily News Editor and manages Uncle Sammy.
