Keller Williams has a new CD out called Kids but it certainly is not just for kids. I highly recommend it to adults and children alike.

Williams, one of the most unique touring performers around, has combined bluegrass, folk, rock, reggae, dance, jazz and funk (just to name a few), to create his clever uplifting sound. His music is always changing and not easy to define, beyond a mastery of the acoustic guitar. Williams started recording albums in 1993, with the thirteenth now represented by Kids.

Kids is edgy and quirky and simply fun. “Hula Hoop To Da Loop” starts out with that sweet groove and keeps a catchy beat throughout. “Keep in on the Paper” is a fun song about being able to draw and paint basically whatever your mind can imagine. “Mama Tooted” is a song that can pretty much be summed up by its title, but the kids will find it funny and gross all at the same time. “Soakie Von Soakerman” is fun and funky and really isn’t about anything but the kids will love all the sounds throughout. “The Fastest Song in the World” is the last song on the album brings it all to a fun if abrupt end.

I know friends and family that have had to suffer the corny music their kids force them to listen to but this is quite the opposite. This is the first kids CD I have reviewed and I’ll admit it, you do not have to be a kid to enjoy it.
