Self-Released

Since the release of his latest EP, Risen, ILLENIUM has been gaining widespread attention from the public. A San Francisco native and Denver based electronic music producer, Nicholas D. Miller puts forth a 4 track EP, which features a variety of music covering the full spectrum of electronic dance music.

“Up,” the first track, incorporates elements of trap and electro house fit to smash the nation’s dance floor. “For Truth,” shifts toward a more glitch hop type of approach. If Booka Shade and Desert Dwellers were thrown into the Penthouse Penthouse, “For Truth,” would be the song raging in the background, with its catchy melodies, hard-hitting bass and gripping drums.

ILLENIUM shows his range by mellowing it out with the next track, a more mid-tempo tune titled “Souls.” “Souls” emphasizes the uplifting vibe that appears consistently throughout the entire EP.

Risen culminates with the single “Drop Our Hearts,” which features vocals from the internationally acclaimed Sirma. This track’s asteroid like bass sound reveals the more aggressive style that ILLENIUM showcases on his new recording. “Drop Our Hearts” skyrocketed to the #1 spot during the week of its release on dubstep.net.

An EP of top-notch production and quality, Risen is truly a testament to ILLENIUM’s diversity as an artist and producer. ILLENIUM has risen. And this EP exemplifies just that. ILLENIUM is on the map and we are eager to see what he has in store for us next and to find out just how high he can take us.
