The boys of Guster hosted the first “Camp Guster” in Freeport, Maine-enticing superfans and their families to join in a fun-filled afternoon followed by a special acoustic set played at sunset on the Maine coast. The weather could not have been any more perfect as fans flocked in to the L.L.Bean Outdoor Discover School for a few hours of outdoor activities. Set on the pristine coast of Maine, band member Adam Gardner led fans on a coastal Stand Up Paddleboard tour, while Ryan Miller led brave groups on sea kayaks out to sea to explore. Back on land, Luke Reynolds showed off his hunting skills with his admirers while they learned the fundamentals of archery, and over in the lawngames area, Brian Rosenworcel schooled the fans in some of the most intense games of badminton, volleyball and L.L.Bean “Boot Toss” one may have ever seen.

After all of the fans got a chance to hang at each activity for an hour of so (with plenty of time for pictures, autographs and goofy selfies with band members), the superfans headed to nearby Wolfe’s Neck Farm, for a spectacularly catered dinner, local craft beers and a setting for an acoustic set that one can only dreams of. Situated about 12 feet from the ocean’s shore and set to hay bails and tiki torches (appropriately spaced apart, of course!), the Guster boys busted out three of their new songs from the to-be-released-in-January album Evermotion, and led the audience through a range of Guster classics while also taking audience requests. The night wrapped up with the boys presenting the four most enthusiastic superfans trophies for the sports they excelled in most. The whole day was Wicked Pissah, as we say in Maine.
