The line-up for the 3rd annual Jammys has been confirmed. The event, which honors improvisational musicians, will be held October 2 at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Performers include Ratdog, Gov’t Mule, Mike Gordon and Leo Kottke, moe., members of The B-52’s, Stefan Lessard, John Scofield, Stanton Moore, Skerik, Rusted Root, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Blue Oyster Cult, Derek Trucks, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Scratch, DJ Logic, Melvin Sparks and Particle. The house band will be Tom Tom Club (featuring Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, formerly of the Talking Heads) with Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Additional special guests will perform.

As with previous two years, tapers are quite welcome at the 2002 Jammys (all the more appropriate with the support of our friends at TDK, who will also provide DAT to tapers on a first
come, first served basis). However, given space concerns in Roseland it will be on a first come/first served basis in a designated area by the soundboard. So if you intend to run mikes or a deck, please get to the show early.
