Keller Williams 9/12/2010

Probably all of you reading this know who Keller Williams is, so I won’t bother explaining who he is. Infinity hall is probably my favorite music venue in CT. It is a restored opera house in quaint little Norfolk CT. It opened in October 2008 as a music venue, and in May 2009, the bistro opened. It is a beautiful venue and probably holds about 300 people. There is a mezzanine that overlooks the stage, with tables where you can order food and drinks from the bistro menu. The main floor has rows of wooden seats, with the all important dancing room in the back. It is really an amazing music venue, and it is great to have it so close to home.

This was my very first time seeing Keller Williams, and I was absolutely blown away. I have seen 50+ concerts in the past two years and he is ranked on the top of my list. I had a front row center seat, and it was incredible to see everything he was doing right up close. Honestly, halfway through the first song, I closed my reviewing notebook and put it under my seat, and didn’t even think about it until the end of the show. He really was all the elements I love about music and more: he is an amazing guitar player, he does insane loop jams, and most importantly most of his songs are completely wacky. One of the things I really love about him is that he is completely unafraid to do or say anything on stage, which is just the way performers should think. Some of his songs he played that night were: “People Watching” “Cadillac” “Ultimate” “Freeker by the Speaker” and “Kidney in a Cooler”. His instruments were a Korg Wavedrum, a bass, a 12 string acoustic guitar, a 6 string acoustic guitar, a 6 string electric guitar, an assortment of pedals, and assorted rhythmic instruments. After this concert, Keller Williams is now near the top of my favorite performers list, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Keller was an amazing concert I am sure I won’t forget anytime soon. If you haven’t seen him yet, you should make a point of it, you will not regret it. This wasn’t a review, more of a rave about Keller, and if I haven’t convinced you yet to go and see him, then it is your loss. He is a crazy good musician, and just generally crazy, and I think it is the perfect mix.
