Marc Ford Sits in with the Allman Brothers Band

Guitarist Marc Ford took the stage with the Allman Brothers Band last night at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, CA. He joined the group for One Way Out, which closed the second set.
Ford (Black Crowes, Blue Floyd) has collaborated with ABB guitarist Warren Haynes on many occasions, sitting in with Govt Mule countless times (Mule toured with the Black Crowes in the fall of 1996). Haynes also appears on Fords new album, Its About Time.

Gabe Johnson Performs with ulu

Soulwork guitarist Gabe Johnson sat in with ulu last night at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA. Johnson took the stage for Herbie Hancocks Hang Up Your Hang Ups midway through the set. Soulwork opened the show.

ulu is currently touring with its new rhythm section comprised of drummer Jason Gardner and bassist Dave Hertzberg. The band plays tonight at Sullys in Hartford, CT. For the complete itinerary, visit the bands official website.

Widespread Panic Adds Two-Night Run to Summer Schedule

Widespread Panic has announced that it will conclude its summer tour with two nights at Fiddlers Green in Denver, CO on August 17 and 18. The group has ended its summer jaunts at unique outdoor venues in Colorado for the last few years, but chose Fiddlers because of the current forest fires in the area. It will be the bands first appearance at the venue. The August 17 show will feature performances by Keller Williams, Karl Denson and reggae legends Steel Pulse.

Mountain of Venus Unveils Summer Tour

Mountain of Venus has announced plans for its summer tour, which kicks off tonight at The Perfect Wife in Manchester Center, VT. The band will then head south for shows in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Missouri. At the end of June, the group will travel west for dates in Utah, California, Oregon and Colorado, before routing back east. The tour concludes at the Berkshire Mountain Music Festival in Great Barrington, MA on August 10.
