The Heavy Pets will release “Two Horses” on CD, as a digital download and on a 7” vinyl record on October 1st – but fans have an opportunity to purchases the new release at any one of their shows on their fall tour before the official release date. In celebration of the release, The Heavy Pets will also be performing live from AURA Studios that evening (Tuesday October 1st) as part of AURA Music Group’s ongoing live video stream series.

The Heavy Pets have continued to push the envelope and evolve into a well-respected nationally touring act. The band has won over fans by touring relentlessly and keeping a unique twist of live energy in their sets, as they flawlessly blend elements of jazz, rock, and reggae with funk. The band seems to be in a really good place right now as the wheels are turning on what appears to be a very finely tuned machine. The Heavy Pets have a pristine natural song-writing capability, one that ignites the listener to be inspired and refreshed. Lyrically, they excel well beyond their years and deliver an abstract tone of vibrancy and bliss. The band is also armed with three incredible singers who each contribute essentially to the overall messages.

The diverseness and dark mysteriousness of “Last Babies” leaves the listener content and captivated. Anchored by Mike Garulli (guitar/vocals) taking the lead vocals with a perfect harmonization by Jeff Lloyd (guitar/vocals) on the chorus, “Last Babies” is a ballad inspired by a post apocalyptic world. “Keep Me Running” features a funky groove where Jim Wuest (Keys/vocals) sings the lead and flexes his musical chops. This upbeat number is full of energy and sends listeners on a musical roller coaster that course through space and time. The precision and sharp musical breakdown are precise and on point as Tony D’Amato (bass) is completely locked in with Jamie Newitt (drums), laying the perfect foundation for the rest of the band.

It’s impressive that the band was able to hit the studio and self-produce this two-track single at the Power Station Recording Studios in Florida in between their rigorous touring schedule. Currently, the band is in the midst of an extensive fall tour throughout the northeast, which will eventually wrap-up in Florida – where the band currently resides.
