Trey Anastasio Opens Langerado Weekend at the Revolution

Trey Anastasio will perform an intimate gig the night before Langerado at Ft. Lauderdale, FLs Revolution. The guitarist will perform at the venues indoor performance space the same night Sound Tribe Sector 9 plays on the Revolutions outdoor stage. Tickets for Anastasios show will go on-sale Friday, February 2 at 5pm EST and will only be available to those who have purchased Langerado 3-day festival passes. Musictoday will be emailing special access codes to those who have already purchased Langerado festival passes on Friday afternoon. There is a 4-ticket limit for this show. Doors for this show will be at 7 pm and require a separate ticket from STS9s show. As previously reported Langerado will take place from March 9-11 in Sunrise, FL featuring Anastasio, Widespread Panic, moe., Matisyahu, OAR, My Morning Jacket, the Disco Biscuits, Stephen Malkmus, the Hold Steady, and The Slip, among others. Relixs Cold Turkey will be spotlighting a number of the festivals performers in the coming weeks.

Lotus Makes MTV

Former New Groove of the Month Lotus will be heard on MTV in March. MTVs I’m from Rolling Stone will feature two songs by the Philadelphia-based quintet on its March 25 episode (of course Lotus often appears the Jambands.com/Relix offices soundtrack as well, as a recent site interview surely proves). Lotus is currently touring in support of its latest record on Harmonized, The Strength of Weak Ties. The group will appear at Wilmington, NCs The Soapbox tonight.

John Popper and DJ Logic Hit the Tubes

The John Popper Project featuring DJ Logic recently recorded a music video for the song Lapdance at the New York gentlemens club HeadQuarters. The video was directed by Marcus Bleeker, who also serves as the groups drummer. Before Lapdance hits TV Relix Records, who produced The John Popper Projects self-titled album, has posted the video online for fans to preview. Hart, Wilson, and Betts Confirmed for Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp

Music fans looking to play cowbell with Mickey Hart are in luck. Hart, Brian Wilson, Dickey Betts, Steve Vai, Lynyrd Skynyrds Artimus Pyle, Kiss Paul Stanley, and Queens Spike Edney are among the artists who will serve as counselors at Hollywood, CAs Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp from February 15-19. The multi-day event will allow campers to perform and even write with their celebrity counselors, culminating with a final Battle of the Bands. Campers will also take home a commemorative DVD for their experiences.
