Particle to Make East Coast Debut

Particle will make its first trip to the East Coast this month. The band will perform December 18 at the Knitting Factory in New York City and December 20 at the North Star in Philadelphia, PA. After returning to California, the group will take the stage at Knitting Factory West in Los Angeles on December 27 and at Blind Melons in San Diego on New Year’s Eve.

String Cheese Incident Releases More Details on NYE Show

String Cheese Incident has released more details regarding its New Years Eve show at Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. The event is being billed as a Super Heroes Ball and fans are encouraged to visit the Peak Experience website create their own super hero or join their own Super Hero tribe. The New Years show will feature hundreds of costumed performers as well as multiple stages and state-of-the-art visual effects.

Jojo Hermann to Tour with members of North Mississippi Allstars

Widespread Panic keyboardist John Jojo Hermann will tour with Luther and Cody Dickinson of The North Mississippi All-Stars this winter. The tour kicks off February 17 at 12 & Porter in Nashville, TN and includes dates in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Jojo, Luther and Cody recorded an album together in October of 2000, titled The Smiling Assassin.

The New Deal Announces New Years Plans

The New Deal has announced its New Years Eve show. The trio will play at the Guvernment Entertainment Complex’s Koolhaus in Toronto. The performance will be part of Electric Paradise, an event that runs from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. and features nine rooms of music. Admission also includes champagne and continental breakfast.

Charlie Hunter, John Scofield Confirm Japan Dates

Charlie Hunter and John Scofield have announced plans to travel to Japan in January. Hunters band will consist of John Ellis, Chris Lovejoy and Stephen Chopek. Scofield will be joined by Avi Bortnick, Jesse Murphy and Adam Deitch. Hunter will play January 18 – 19 at Blue Note in Osaka. Hunter and Scofield will then co-bill six shows at Blue Note in Tokyo, January 21 26.
