Planet of the Abts is a Gov’t Mue offshoot featuring drummer Matt Abts and bassist Jorgen Carlsson. The project toured nationally and released an album while Gov’t Mule was off the road in 2011 and continues to perform. This spring Planet of the Abts will play a few shows in the Southeast. The run’s confirmed dates include stops at Hague, VA’s Coles Point Tavern (4/19), Atlanta, GA’s Smith’s Olde Bar (4/24) and Charleston, SC’s The Pour House (4/26). Additional dates will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Abts and Carlsson will be in the Southeast for a performance with Gov’t Mule at Wanee.
