Charles Bradley has passed away, an announcement on his various social media channels confirmed. He was 68.

While no cause of death was given, Bradley recently canceled the entirety of his tour earlier this month after discovering that his cancer spread to his liver. Bradley was initially diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall and returned to music before another cancelation.

Bradley was born in Gainesville, FL in 1948 and became the leading voice in the soul revival of the modern era. He released his debut solo album in 2011 at the age of 62, No Time for Dreaming, and was a steady face across the music festival scene over the years. His last album, Changes, was released in 2016.
