Gov’t Mule brought their tour out west to the Fox Theatre in Oakland where they collaborated with Jefferson Starship’s Pete Sears for two songs in the encore including the Elmore James classic “Hurts Me Too” and Timmy Shaw’s “Gonna Send You Back to Georgia” to close the show.

Sears spent a decade with Jefferson Starship and went on to play with Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady in a number of formations. Over his extensive career, Sears has also collaborated with the likes of Steve Kimock, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and many others.
