Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band played the second of five East Coast shows last night at the Asbury Park Convention Hall in New Jersey, once again welcoming Nicki Bluhm and Robert Randolph for the full show and Preservation Hall Jazz Band for some choice second-set sit ins.

Set one opened with “Big River” and featured Grateful Dead favorites like “Rubin and Cherise,” “Friend of the Devil,” “West L.A. Fadeaway” and “Scarlet Begonias,” plus a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Girl From the North Country.”

Lesh and company returned to the stage for the second frame and eased back into the Dead catalog with “Jack Straw,” “Dear Mr. Fantasy” and “St. Stephen” before covering Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” The collective later welcomed the members of Preservation Hall Jazz Band for “Dark Star,” which led into two songs played by just Pres Hall.

The band stayed on stage for their song “Mad” as Lesh and his band returned to end the song and return to a “Dark Star” reprise. The full stage of musicians then rounded out the set with “Help On the Way,” “Slipknot” and “Franklin’s Tower.” Lesh & the TFB, Bluhm, Randolph and PHJB members then returned for an encore of “Not Fade Away.”

See the full setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section, along with fan-shot video from the night above and below. The collaborations continue tonight at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ.
