Spafford celebrated Halloween in New Orleans at the House of Blues where they nodded to a pair of popular Disney films, Jungle Book and Lion King and also brought out special guest Matisyahu.

The show opened with the theme from The Lion King, as the band played “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” before a thematically appropriate take on Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock.” The band would return to the main theme of Lion King a number of times during the show as well.

Matisyahu joined in late in the first set for “Leave the Light On” before Spafford closed the opening set with “Bare Necessities,” made famous by The Jungle Book.

The second set opened with Beck’s “Fucking in My Head” and again the group touched on the theme with a return to “Lion Sleeps Tonight” and worked in “Hakuna Matata” in the encore.
