AJ Ghent has announced he will release a new EP, The Neo-Blues Project, on March 16 via Ropeadope Records, marking the latest offering from the guitarist and heir to the Sacred Steel tradition.

The new release includes a cover of Junior Kimbrough’s classic “Do the Rump,” along with original tunes that act as nods to Ghent’s idols like Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Sam Cooke and more, with his own modern tilt. Ghent produced The Neo-Blues Project himself at his Atlanta studio.

Ghent will embark on a short tour in support of the EP, kicking off with a run in Australia in late February and rounding out with a March 30 show in his hometown of Ft. Pierce, FL. See the dates below.
