Closing out their Thanksgiving run in Philadelphia, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead paid tribute to a seasonally appropriate group with a trio of Band covers during their finale at The Fillmore.

Along with Dead cuts like “Ruben & Cherise,” “Bertha” and “Truckin’” in the first set, the band also mixed in their first of three Band covers on the night with “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”

While the second set was played without any additional covers, instead with the group opting for Garcia’s “They Love Each Other” and “Let It Grow,” “New Speedway Boogie” and an epic “Terrapin Suite,” the encore was a pair of Band covers with each member taking a verse on “The Weight” and the “Ophelia” finale.
