The annual destination event Dominican Holidaze rolled on once again last night as The Disco Biscuits played two sets where they were joined by Umphrey’s McGee’s Brendan Bayliss on a cover of Prince’s “Controversy.”

The cover emerged in the Umphrey’s world following the untimely passing of the musical icon and the band recently nodded to Prince with a Halloween show in Minnesota where each band member dressed as a different era of Prince, covering many of his songs including “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Raspberry Beret,” “1999” and “Little Red Corvette.”

Bayliss played both with Umphrey’s McGee last night at Holidaze as well as a kickoff solo set by the pool featuring a number of the children of Umphrey’s McGee joining him on vocals including Murphy Browning (daughter of Kevin Browning) sitting in on Magic’s hit “Rude.”
