The Wood Brothers played a two-show run in Colorado this past weekend, visiting the Ogden Theatre in Denver before heading to the Boulder Theater the following night, and the band welcomed a few guests throughout the two performances, including members of Greensky Bluegrass.

In Denver, The Wood Brothers brought up singer-songwriter Sean McConnell for a couple traditional tunes, “Ain’t No More Cane” and “Down by the Riverside,” with the latter also featuring Greensky dobro player Anders Beck and vocalist/mandolinist Paul Hoffman. The next night in Boulder, the group welcomed back McConnell for another pair of tunes, first on a second “Down by the Riverside” that also featured Elephant Revival’s Bonnie Paine on washboard. The two later returned to help out on an encore of “Trouble in Mind.”

The Wood Brothers continue their tour tonight at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK.
